It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommie M Jones (Gates, North Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie, Sr. Jones and Doris Jones; and his siblings, Willie Mae Wilkins, Mary Wiggins, George Jones and Kelay Jones, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Delois Jones; his children, Mario Jones and Tara Barrett (Kevin Barrett); his granddaughters, Najah of Gates County and Imani of Gates County; his siblings, Betty Jean Holloway, Delores Foster, Bertha Brown, Donald Ray Jones and Hurley Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Merlyn, Tonya, Mary, Bobby Holloway and Willie Brown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Community of Hope Funeral Service (357 Hobbsville Rd, Hobbsville, NC 27946). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church (1109 Drum Hill Rd, Gates, NC 27937).
