He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee, Sr. and Genevieve Brown Smith. He is survived by: his brothers, John Lee "Jack" Smith, Jr. (Carole) of Gates, Bradford Brown Smith (late Sandra) of Gates, James Wayne "Jimmy" Smith of Gates and Samuel Tracy Smith (Debbie) of Gates; his nieces and nephews, Megan Frank (Ben), Corrie Ellas (Gary), Lindsay Broshears (Dan), Nikki Smith (Corey), John Lee Smith, III (Melody) and Walter Smith (Lauren); and his great-nieces, Hannah Ellas and Genevieve Jones.
