He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Thomas and Otis Emma Jones Hardie; his wife Evelyn Lois Brown Hardie; his children, Daroyll Brown (Rachel), Herbert Hardie and Monique Hardie; his siblings, Charlie Hardie (Helen) and Mary H. Boone; and his siblings-in-law, Wylene of Washington, Mary English, Ernestine Stuckey, Katherine Rozier and Robert L. Brown (Mary). He was also cherished by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
