It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Galen Jay Simmons (Gates, North Carolina), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 12, 2021, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Williams. He is survived by: his mother Olivia Simmons of Ahoskie, NC; and his siblings, Rodney Simmons of Ahoskie, NC, Patrick Simmons of Norfolk, VA, Corvell Simmons of Ahoskie, NC, Patrick Riddick of Ahoskie, NC, Calvin Harris, Tonya Britt of Ahoskie, NC and Tielyn Weaver of Ahoskie, NC. He is also survived by three aunts; two uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
