Elaine Byrum Herring Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Byrum Herring (Gates, North Carolina), who passed away on June 9, 2020 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Winfred Odell Byrum; her mother-in-law Margaret Herring; and her sister JoAnn Byrum. She is survived by: her mother Priscilla Riddick Jones (Tom) of Franklin, VA; her father-in-law Ronald William "Ronnie" Herring; her siblings, Linda Byrum Warren (Glenn) and Daniel Winfred Byrum of Gates; her granddaughters, Caitlin Ann and Madison Layne Brown; her nieces and nephews, Adam Warren, Blake and Kristen Byrum; and also, Joanna Herring Brown (Seth) of Winterville and John Michael Herring (Tiffanie) of Greenville.

In accordance with her wishes and due to pandemic concerns very real to the family, a private memorial service is being held.

For those who wish to remember Elaine, the family would appreciate any contributions be made to "Laney's Legacy", a fund established for the purpose of supporting the development of a garden in her memory on the family farm.
