He was predeceased by: his parents, Jones Kennedy and Gladys Cooke Kennedy; his siblings, Louise Kennedy, Ella Daniels, Willie, Douglas and Billy Joe Kennedy; and his granddaughter A'Iyana Jones.

He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Marie Jones (Jerome Sr.) of Gates and Dustin Ray Kennedy of Sunbury; his siblings, Iris Kennedy of Spartanburg, SC and Jimmy Kennedy (Lisa) of Delbarton, WV; and his grandchildren, Shala'Jah Stallings and Jerome Jones, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
