He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Charlie and Vivian Hoggard Cale; and his brothers, Bobby, Tommy and Pete Cale.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hardee Cale; his sons, Charles Scott Cale, Jr. (Lisa) of Gates and Robert Paul "Robbie" Cale (Cynthia) of Suffolk; his sisters, Judy Wallace of Colonial Heights and Ginny Cale of Virginia Beach; and his grandchildren, Walker, Kasey, Cooper and Kenzie Cale.
