He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Benfield and Vergie Pruett Benfield; his siblings, John Wesley Benfield and Jane Benfield King; and his son-in-law Tim Stillwell.
He is survived by: his wife Donnie Warren Benfield; his children, Dean Benfield (Carroll) and Brenda Stillwell (Randy Ledwell); his brother-in-law Jim King; his grandchildren, Joshua Dean Stillwell (Haley), Wesley Scott Ledwell, Scottie Maiers, Rená Ewing and Donnie Maiers; and his great grandchildren, Parker and Kennedy Stillwell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-great grandchildren.
