He was predeceased by: his parents, Judson Alman and Annie Williams Alman; and his siblings, Ruth McKittrick and Jim Alman. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hayes Alman; his son Brent; his daughter-in-law Shelly Alman of Gastonia; his daughter Carla Richardson of Melbourne, Florida; and his grandchildren, Madison, Nick Despotes of Holly Springs, NC, Mallory Alman of Raleigh, Ethan Richardson of Gastonia and Adam Richardson of Melbourne.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Presbyterian Church.
