He is survived by: his wife Mae Richardson Shipp of Gastonia, NC; his children, Priscilla Wallace (Ferdinand) of Gastonia, NC, Charles Shipp of Gastonia, NC, John Lee Shipp of Charlotte, NC, Daphne Smith (Norman) of Charlotte, NC and Marquis Blaylock of Charlotte, NC; and his siblings, Robert Shipp, Florence Sherrill, Leon Shipp, Doris Hicks and Joyce McDowell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
