He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burder Shuford Sr. and Virginia Jones Hall; and his brothers, Frank Jones Shuford and Charles Hunt Shuford. He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Gosse; his children, William Burder Shuford III (Patricia Barry Shuford) and Beverly "Anna" Shuford Spach; his grandchildren, William Burder Shuford IV, Shuford Adam Spach, Ryan O'Connor Shuford and Tyler Alexander Shuford; and his sister Virginia Shuford Yates (Tucker Yates).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Gaston Community Church (400 Airport Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Oakwood Cemetery (366 4th St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gaston Community Church and the U.S. Forest Service's Plant a Tree program.
