He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter H. Windley, Sr. and Edna Mae Davenport Windley; his son Walter H. Windley, III; and his sister Minerva Windley Carlisle. He is survived by: his wife Betty E. Windley of Gastonia; his children, David (Sharon) of Dallas, Nancy W. Norwood (Mike) of Gastonia and Beth W. Wackerhagen (Dan) of Gilbert, SC; his daughter-in-law Debbie R. Windley (late Walter H. Windley, III) of Gastonia; and his niece Susan Carlisle Roberts (John) of Stephens City, Virginia.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and many other beloved family members.
The family suggests memorials be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center of Gaston County and Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
