It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wallace Edwin Cowan (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Kirkpatrick Cowan; and his son Wallace E. Cowan Jr. (Eddie). He is survived by: his daughters, Debby Cowan of Charlotte and Cathy Holland (Andy) of Gastonia; and his grandchildren, Jami Holland Johnson (Kyle), Matthew Holland (Elizabeth), Michael Holland (Tembre) and Kati Holland Long (Micah). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Wallace's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Robing Johnson Hospice House of Gaston County.
