He is survived by: his parents, Laurie Hoyle Evans and Timothy Kent McDaniel, Sr.; his stepparents, Guy Evans and Patricia Parker; his sister Kristin McDaniel Flynn; his nephew Brayden Flynn; his stepsiblings, James, Paul, Mark Evans and Jessica Parker; his grandparents, Nell Kennedy and Cloe E. McDaniel; his stepgrandfather James Kennedy; his aunts, Teresa (Steve Hoyle), Nancy (Bert Humphreys), Susie (Andrew Dod) and Jill (Jack Kenley); his uncle Tim Jones; and his cousins, Brad Hoyle, Tracy Pflaumer, Amber Gladden, Carlee Sullivan, Gracie Pouliot, Sophie Dod, Brooke Paramore, Jay Kenley and Jessica Auten.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation (https://www.brpfoundation.org), a cause close to Kent's heart, honoring his love for nature and the outdoors.
