We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2020, at the age of 78, Thomas Durwood Beckham (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Stony Point, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dawson "Doc" of Alexander County, NC. and Christine Warren Beckham of Alexander County, NC.; his wife Linda "Cookie" Beckham; his son Jason (Sadie); his grandson Miles "Kai" Beckham of San Francisco, CA.; his son Daniel (Carson); his granddaughter Miller Helen Beckham of Charlotte, NC; his brother Jimmy (Linda); his nephews, Todd and Brian; and his niece Melissa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 2024 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, NC. or to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.

“In loving memory of Thomas Durwood Beckham, Durwood was a great friend in college and years afterwards. We had so much fun just being young men in college, never doing bad just having FUN !!! We lost touch when we started our family’s but it was just like old times when we saw each other recently. I would say he was one of my best friends of my life. Cookie I know you will miss him but I am so happy you had two sons that you can remember him through. I am sure they are great guys like Durwood”
