She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred M. Byrd and May Garner Byrd; her husband Jim Wells; and her brother Fred Byrd, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Lang (Don) of Decatur, GA, Jim Wells of Greensboro, NC and Fred Wells (Kim) of Gastonia, NC; her grandchildren, Andrew Lang, Freddie Wells (Meredith Bresnahan), Mary Carson Wells, Ella Wells, David Lang, Ruby Wells, May Margaret Wells and Orianne Wells; and her great grandchild Adamaris Wells. She is also survived by three nieces and two nephews as well as their children and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Gastonia (190 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
