He was predeceased by: his sisters, Linda Wells, Brenda Peeler and Sandra Wise. He is survived by: his wife Terry Wells; his sister Judy Bolin (Gary Bolin) of Kings Mountain, N. C.; his brother-in-law Timothy Wise of Cherryville, N. C.; his children, Linsy Aul (Patrick), Matthew Wells (Claire) and Lesly Henderson (Casey); and his grandchildren, Ellery, Henry Aul and Greyson Wells. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
