It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Underwood Farrar Jr. of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Underwood Farrar Sr. and Ora Passmore Farrar; his wife Sandra Fowler Farrar; his son William Neely; and his siblings, James Daniel Farrar and Jenny Mae Burdette.
He is survived by: his sisters, Geraldine Rikard (Tony), Virginia Sue Aldridge and Bessie Mae Barrett.
