With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Faye Mangino (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Lowell, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Galloway and James Galloway; her husband Donald Cosmo Mangino; and her daughter Angelita Lucas Gentle. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Harvey Lucas Jr., Crystal Lucas Pack (Rocky Pack) and Hallie Lucas Williams (Corey Williams); her son-in-law Ricky Gentle; her grandchildren, Jennifer Peterson (Leonard Roseboro), Ashley Cathey (Brian Cocker), Kristen Lucas, DannaLee Mogren (Jared Mogren), Zachary Lucas (Alexis Ferguson), Marshall Kennedy, Austin Satcho and Dylan Williams; and her great grandchildren, Baylee Peterson, Madison Lucas, Lucas Cocker and Ryker Whitmire. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.

In Lieu of flowers we request donations be made to Least of These Carolinas 4100 E. Franklin Blvd. Gastonia, NC 28056, a local non profit organization that directly assists children in foster care in the local area.
