She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Lewis Owens, Sr. and Sally Teague Anderson; her husband Joseph Amos Canipe Sr.; her son Joseph Amos Canipe Jr.; and her siblings, Richard, Ray, Charles Owens and Shirley Lewis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melonie Canipe (Bobby) and Myra Canipe; her grandson Joseph Scott Canipe; her siblings, Mary Walker, Patricia Bradley and Marshall Owens, Jr.; and her granddaughters, Rebecca Huskins, Tressa Moore and Patricia Canipe. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
