It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Pruitt Long of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Bryson Pruitt; and her brother Danny Pruitt. She is survived by: her husband Billy Long; her daughters, Melissa Jane Long (Eric Hughes) and Jessica Long Page (Justin); her grandson Hunter Bryson Hughes; her brother Dwight Pruitt (Betsy); her siblings-in-law, Diane Pruitt, Bobbie Vaughn, Hazel Hamrick, Dianne Stanley, Delores Payseur (Keith) and Terry Long (Rhonda); and her nephew Bradley Pruitt (Jamie).
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
