It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sarah Cantrell Cloninger (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Cantrell and Nellie Cantrell; and her brothers, Bob, Richard, David, Bill and Phillip Cantrell.

She is survived by: her husband Keith Cloninger; her daughters, Oneta Haney (Doug) and Dewanna Watkins (Gary); her siblings, James Cantrell and Diane Lunsford; and her grandchildren, Bryan Haney (Colista), Brittany Melton (Mickey), Christopher Haney (Tiffanee) and Davey Watkins (Hannah). She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Gaston County 306 S. Columbia Street, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
