It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Adams Abernethy (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Esther Reid Adams and Minor Revere Adams; her siblings, William Preston Adams (Becky) and Esther Adams Hunnicutt; her daughter-in-law Jill Rowe Abernethy; her husband William Borden Abernethy Jr.; her brother Minor Revere Adams (Chuck); and her children, Stacy Reid Abernethy, Sarah Preston Johnson and William Borden Abernethy III (Nancy).
