It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Owen Duncan of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Aline Duncan; his daughter Lynn Duncan; his parents, Prosey Duncan and Fronie Duncan; and his brothers, Otis, Earl and Daniel Duncan.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Whitt (Robert), Karen Hudgins (Jerry), Linda Smith (Steve) and Johnny Howard (Kathy); his siblings, Elsie Loftin (Leonard) and Howard Duncan; his grandchildren, Leslie Foulk (Lance), Dayna Johnston (Jason), Justin Hudgins (Ashley), Brooke Hudgins, Tyler Smith and Kayla Hudgins; his great grandchildren, Taylor Foulk, Campbell Foulk, Kathryn Johnston and Callan Hudgins; and his sister-in-law Joyce Duncan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the McAdenville Wesleyan Church (300 Wesleyan Dr, Gastonia, NC 28056). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
