We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2022, at the age of 97, Samuel Hugh Wilds (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Samuel Hugh Wilds to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Ellison and Kathryn Bridgman Wilds; and his siblings, Arthur, Marion Wilds and Lucile McClure.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bruce Wilds; his children, Sam Wilds, Jr. (Carol Ann), Carol Willeford (Mike), Ed Wilds (Tina) and Trish Wilds-Barton (Bob); and his grandchildren, Brannon Wilds, William Wilds, Caleb Atkins, Ben Routh and Andrea Barton. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy, Mooresville NC 28115.
