It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Samuel Conner (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Conner and Burdine Dills Conner; his daughter Kimberly Lynn Conner Myers; and his sister Frances Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Gibson Conner; his son Johnny; his daughter-in-law Kim Conner; his grandchildren, Mitchell House (Elizabeth), Taylor Myers Johnson (David), Jonathan Conner, Alexandria Conner Dellinger (Michael) and Connor Myers; his great grandchildren, Riley, Brantley, Carter, Grant, Harper, Easton, Cash, Luke and Tucker; his nieces and nephews, Jabo Smith and Kristy Deal Pullings; and his sisters, Helen Sullivan (Jackie) and Doris Martin.
