He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Stewart; his parents, Clarence Stewart and Flossie Stewart; and his sisters, Mary Mathis and Mildred Adams.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald Stewart (Pam), Carolyn Vannoy (Mike), Elaine Stewart, Donna Adams (Jeff) and Tina Stewart; his grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Jeffrey, Tyler, Josh, Daniel, Joshua and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Brianna Ava and Taylor.
