He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Simpson and Virginia Simpson; his sister Virginia Hope Simpson; and his daughter Julia Simpson O'Dell. He is survived by: his wife Edith Edwards Simpson; his children, Lara Simpson Zeigler (Robbie), Kelly Simpson Summey and Jonathan Brent Simpson (Jill); his son-in-law Kevin O'Dell; his grandchildren, Brandon Best, Kenny, Connor, Cate, Cameron O'Dell, Catherine, Addison, Gracyn, Ethan Zeigler, William, Noah, Abby Simpson, Houston, Carson and Bryson Summey; and his great grandchild Ayden Best.
