It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Owen Sholar of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Bessemer City, North Carolina, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sholar and Ruth Sholar. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Sholar; his daughters, Kathy (Robert Stogner) and Anne Sholar; his grandson Billy Stogner; and his great grandchildren, Dustin Stogner and Kelsie Stogner. He is also survived by 5 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
