With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Edgar Hand Sr. of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Idell (Hill) and Augustus Hand; and his sisters, Betty Cannon (Hand) and Esther Hagan (Hand). He is survived by: his brothers, John Thomas Hand, Charles Dean Hand and Raymond A. Hand; his wife Rosemary Hand (Pate); his sons, Robert "Ed" Hand, Jr. (Cheryl) of Gastonia, Raymond "Ray" Isaac Hand (Tammy) and Reverend Randolph "Randy" Pate Hand (Jennifer) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Amanda Kelli Hand, Stephen Michael Hand, Raymond Isaac Hand II, Sarah Elizabeth Hand "Izzy", Joshua Pate Hand, Sandra Rose Hand, Jessica Marie Hand and Naomi Grace Hand; and his sisters, Joyce Parks of Maine and Judy Hand of South Carolina.
