He is survived by: his parents, Luther Junior Merckle (Betty) and Rosalee Winland Merckle of Ohio; his children, Kayla Merckle of Gastonia and Aaron Roberts; the mother of his children Penny Merckle of Gastonia; his siblings, Donna Smith (Roger) of Ohio, Kenny Merckle (Kim) of Ohio and Rochelle Myers of Ohio; and his granddaughter Winter Cogdell of Gastonia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
