He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Brown Garvin of Gastonia, NC; his sons, Richard Garvin, Jr. (Latasha) of Grover, NC and Brian Christopher Garvin of Gastonia, NC.; his siblings, Thomas Lee Lasdix Garvin, Ruby Jean Gardin, Dorothy Garvin and Judy Garvin Wilson (Ronald); his grandchildren, Richeria Aiken (Maurice), Ridge Garvin, Kristin Garvin, Jaylen Garvin and Brooklyn Garvin; and his great grandchildren, Londyn Knight, Braylen Jett, Julian Sullivan, Grayson Sullivan and Nova Aiken. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
