With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Earl Wallace (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Chickamauga, Georgia, who passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Opal; and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Deanne; his children, Kevin (Stacy) and Dede (Jim); his grandsons, Nolan, Tristan, Ryan, Zach and Luke; his sisters, Wanda and Sandra (Pablo); and his pet Willie.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service and entombment will be held.

For those who wish to donate in memory of Pop, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Temple Baptist Church, 701 Littlejohn Street, Gastonia, NC 28052 or The Gaston Humane Society, PO Box 2334, Gastonia, NC 28053.
