He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hugh Cloninger and Carrie Isadore Smith Cloninger; his wife Margaret Stroupe Cloninger; his children, Mark, Tim, Tommy Cloninger and Barbara Jean Cloninger; and his brothers, Ray, Samuel, Grady and George Cloninger.

He is survived by: his son Joey Cloninger (Kimberly); and his granddaughters, Josie, Kate, Lindsay and Carly Cloninger.
