It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Honeycutt Smith (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Landis, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Victor and Lelia Morris Honeycutt; her husband Hal Keith Smith; her daughter Julia Marie Smith; and her sister Beulah Hillard.
She is survived by: her daughter Lou Smith Slough (Robert) of Rock Hill, SC; her grandchildren, Ashley Smith Vaughn, Patrick Smith (Allison), Josh Henderson and Jacob Henderson (Blaire); her great grandchildren, Liza Vaughn and Hampton Henderson; and her sister-in-law Catherine Smith of Newton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
