She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen J. Sligh and Pearl Evans Sligh; her husband James A. Lowery; and her siblings, T. J. Sligh, Charles "Buddy" Sligh, Harold Sligh, Edgar "Bo" Sligh and Ruby Rockholt.

She is survived by: her sons, Mike Lowery (Tracy) of Gastonia, NC and Jonathan Lowery (Michelle) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her grandchildren, Lauren, Katie and Hannah.
