It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Hodge Lenard (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Hodge and Dessie Ward Hodge; her husband Edward Harley Lenard; her sister Inez Hingston; and her grandson Greg Burris.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Robin Gardiner, Jenny Lybarger, Frank Wayne Hayes, III, Nickie Denholm, Beverly Compton, Louis Earl Burris and Danielle Whitley; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Abigail, Alaina Lybarger, Lindsay Mash, Kaylyn Gardiner, Lori, Tyler Hayes, David, Hannah, William and Henry Denholm; and her great great grandchildren, Elliott Reeves and Gatsby Fronzak.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the McLean Funeral Directors Founders Chapel (700 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Peggy to the donor's favorite charity.
