She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bigham and Corine Kendall Bigham; and her sister Libby Lyles. She is survived by: her husband Richard Chapman; her daughters, Diane Chapman (Ricky Watkins), Terri Morgan (Mark), Tammy Waldroup (Christopher "Geno") and Wendy Bradshaw (Jeff); her sister Mae Ford (Jerry Hughes); and her grandchildren, Josh Watkins, Brittany Brown, Dustin Watkins, Brent Tate, Billy Tate, Richie Costner, Michael Howell, Megan Reynolds and Stacey Bradshaw. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice P.O. Box 3984 Gastonia, NC 28054.
