It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Onetta Williams Shives (Gastonia, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Leroy Williams and Pauline Bryant Williams; and her husband Marvin Earl Shives. She is survived by: her children, Lee Shives, Scott Shives of Gastonia, NC, Paul Shives of Alexander County, NC and Catherine Shives Wetherill of Woodruff, SC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
