He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Cape and Lula Newton Cape; and his wife Francis Potts Cape. He is survived by: his daughter Nikki O'Brien (Josh); his siblings, Duane Tompkins (Ginger), Robin Griffin (Danny), Teresa Haas (Jimmy) and Hope Cape; his grandchild Neela O'Brien; and his caregiver Kim Parker.
