He is survived by: his parent Garfield Gunnings; his children, Belinda McCarter Byers (Douglas) of Gastonia and Quinston McCarter of Ashevile; his sisters, Viola Reid (Gene) of Gastonia and Gerry Stroman (Willie) of Kokomo; his nephew Ronnie Sinson; his sisters-in-law, Hattie Brooks and Barbara Gunnings; and also, Ronnie Adams, Johnny Adams (Sutalia), Barbara Wilson (Harry), Evelyn Wilson, Cecelia Adams and Lora Darby (Donald). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
