She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde J. Spencer and Flossie M. Spencer. She is survived by: her children, John D. Medlin, Elizabeth M. Ardis of Gastonia, NC, Barbara Hance (Harold) and Debra M. Watson of Bessemer City, NC. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
