She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Clyde Ramsey and Melva Bennett Ramsey; her husband Robert "Bob" Bivens; her brothers, Ralph Ramsey and Tom Ramsey; and her great grandchild Khoen McGinnis.

She is survived by: her children, Joe (Joy Bivens), Ken (Irina Bivens), Greg (Alisa Bivens) and Cathy; her son-in-law Robert Lum of Davidson; her sister Louise Ford of Ft. Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Laura (Gregg McClelland), Meredith (Dustin McGinnis), Leah Bivens and Mikhail Kogan (Paul Bivens); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Jackson McClelland, Makenna, Kaisyn and Mikah McGinnis.
