She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Arthur Rowland and Marie Lance Rowland; and her siblings, Elizabeth Rowland and Virgil Clarence Rowland. She is survived by: her husband Billy Belk McCarter; her son Michael McCarter; her grandchildren, Zachary McCarter and Hannah Oxendine Horn; her brother Randall Rowland Sr.; and her sister-in-law Peggy Messick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
