She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Ponder and Marie Ponder; her sister Judy; and her husbands, Red Wilson and John Cocker.
She is survived by: her sons, David Spurrier (Katie), Mike Spurrier (Pam), Dan Spurrier and Bill Spurrier (Ann); and her stepchildren, Chuck Wilson, Jay Cocker (Ruth) and Mel Cocker. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054 or to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 258 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
