He is survived by: his wife Epifania Santiago Rivera; and his children, Miguel A Rivera, Jr., William Rivera, Richard Rivera, Wilfredo Rivera, Alicia Rivera Neirs and Myriam Rivera Mangual. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, East Spanish Congregation located at 2065 Overhead Bridge Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
