It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael McDaniel (Gastonia, North Carolina), who passed away on January 28, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry McDaniel and Christine Bentley McDaniel. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Taylor McDaniel; his children, Tom Murphy, Robert McDaniel (Tricia), David McDaniel (Wanda), Chris Onstad (Tracy) and Lida LeeAnn Groves (Shane); his brother Gary McDaniel (Olivia); his grandchildren, Jamie Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Kylie McDaniel, Hannah McDaniel, David R. McDaniel, Heather Fuller, Nathan Groves, Cole Groves and Kasie Lynch; and his great grandchildren, Lynch and Levi Fuller.

Memorials may be made to Beech Avenue Baptist Church, 1206 Ashton Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052.
