He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Alexander and Annie Elizabeth Scarborough Butler; his wife Shirley Clark Butler; and his granddaughter Taylor Hunt. He is survived by: his daughters, Gwen Butler of Huntersville and Holly Hunt (Darrell) of Shelby; and his granddaughter Jessica (Mitch). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
