It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Emma Hambright of Gastonia, North Carolina, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clayton Houston Starnes and Alma Boyd Starnes; her husband Dr. Barry E. Hambright; her son Conrad Barry Hambright; and her sister Sara Starnes Shingler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Emmabeth Wingate (Mark) and Christie Hambright; her siblings, Margaret Jackson and Bill Starnes (Mary); her sister-in-law Jeannette Starnes; and her grandchildren, Lauren and Grayson Wingate. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
