It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Clinton Brooks of Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Brooks Sr. and Ruth Howard Estes; his daughter Shelly Black; and his siblings, Gary Brooks, Steve Brooks and Mary Cody.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Brooks; his sisters, Ruth Ann Sisk, Betty Ballew and Linda Brooks; his grandchildren, Nick Hudson, Justin Hudson and Cailyn Campbell; his great grandchildren, Ryan Hudson, Aiden Hudson, Aubrey Hudson and Jeremiah Hudson; and his son-in-law Anthony Black. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
